Arbitration is now widely recognised as an alternative to resolving disputes through national
courts. Hammonds has a substantial team of experienced partners and qualified lawyers based
throughout its offices, practising arbitration, with the main centres of expertise being London,
Paris and Hong Kong.
We are experienced in conducting arbitrations held under the auspices of institutions such as
ICC, LCIA, GAFTA, ICSID, FOSFA, LME and ICE. The team also conducts arbitrations on an ad
hoc basis, and under other formal rules including UNCITRAL.
We also have wide experience of acting as advocates, supported by the firm's in-house advocacy
initiative. Hammonds has assisted clients in enforcing arbitration awards around the world and,
where appropriate, acts in conjunction with its international offices in cross-border cases.
