Our Expertise Brands & Trade Marks Domain Names
Domain Names:   News     Events     Publications     People     Offices     Links     FAQs

Hammonds' Brands group has a strong track record in protecting domain names and dealing with cyber squatters and others who seek to impinge on clients' rights via the internet. We have managed hundreds of domain name disputes, including for some of the UK's leading brand owners, and frequently represent clients both under the domain name dispute resolution procedures and before the courts.

We recognised some years ago that, to seize the opportunities offered by new technologies, a significant internet presence is fundamental. So, in 1998, we were the first UK law firm to launch a product called Web-Vet, a legal compliance tool for websites. Through Web-Vet, we provide a dedicated team of experienced lawyers to review a website for legal compliance including, for example, trade mark use, copyright infringement, data protection, terms and conditions of business and other electronic business issues.

Our expertise in issues ranging from website content screening through to multi-jurisdictional enforcement, gives us a keen understanding of the risks inherent in electronic business and makes us uniquely placed to advise on cyber liability issues.
